Morning Draw

A clean sheet of paper

Finished chores

Breeze from the kitchen window

Dragons

Elusive by nature

Only seen if you're there

Walls

Conspicuously towering

Forever unchanged

A clock

Relentlessly ticking

Picking up speed

A pen

Clenched by fingers

Fueled by imagination

Blood

Beading on a forehead

Straining to fall

Words

Spatter clean paper

Breeze from the kitchen window

Cindy Hughes says the poem is ``how I filled the time one morning, waiting for inspiration.  It may have been better entitled, ``The Muse Has Left The Building.'' Anyway, I'm a children's entertainer and hobby writer.  I love it all: short stories, plays, and even entertaining non-fiction.  Relate to it, if you can (the poem that is)....''  Ms. Hughes lives and writes in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada.
